This app is missing a critical widget. I need something that I can clock on and put in an idea without needing to open the app. As someone older, I tend to forget an idea as quick as I get it.

Are you on iOS or Android? iOS has a shortcut you can add to do just this. If you navigate to shortcuts app, and search 'add note' you will find Bullet in the list of apps that pop up. You can add this shortcut to your Home Screen :)
